Right from the Start! What New Conference Participants Need to Know
New to this event? Want to know how to make this conference the best learning experience ever?

Join conference presenter Sharon Bowman, along with other experienced conference-goers, as they walk you through some "need-to-know" content that will help you get the most from your conference experience. Get connected to other "newbies" and form your own conference mastermind group of new friends and colleagues. Meet with your mastermind group at least one more time during the conference to share the best of your conference take-aways. Leave with some fun "souvenirs" of this orientation program and plan for a dynamic three-day conference experience. Then, head over to the Sunday Night Welcome Reception together!

Exercise to Enhance Your Learning and Hippocampal Neurogenesis
Huh?! Let's just say start your mornings off on the right foot. Your brain will get plenty of exercise at Training 2012, but your body will need some, too. Don't miss the always-popular Netwalks with Carolyn Balling each morning from 7:00 – 7:45 AM. Meet and network with other conference goers as you walk up, down and through the Georgia World Conference Center. You'll get a free pedometer (limited supply — be one of the first to participate), and maybe win a prize for logging the most daily steps. Balling has been a coach with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program since 1999, where she's coached 1,010 marathoners across finish lines (and completed 26 marathons on her own). So get warmed up for a day of learning and spend some time conversing on a smaller scale with colleagues.

Monday, February 13
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Monday Night Meet-Up Mixer
Jane Bozarth, cowgirl host of the Social Media Ninja Rodeo, and A.J. Ripin, sage of the Mobile Learning Experience, will roundup participants to explore Atlanta's modern side — its rich history and the wide assortment of restaurants and nightlife it offers. This promises to be a night of great conversation, fun and prizes (including an iPad)!

Tuesday, February 14
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

A Coral Celebration!
Celebrate Training's 35th Annual Conference (our coral anniversary!) with a special evening reception at the Georgia Aquarium. The Georgia Aquarium is the world's largest aquarium with more than 8.5 million gallons of marine and fresh water housing more than 120,000 animals of 500 different species. The aquarium's notable specimens include young whale sharks, beluga whales, and manta rays. This after-hours event includes admission to the aquarium, and a special 35th anniversary reception — and the party is on Training magazine! All full-conference participants will receive a free ticket to this event. So take some time out after the close of the expo to celebrate the value and impact of the training industry and your significant contributions to it. Pre-registration required.

5:30-7:00pm: Aquarium Exhibits open. Beverages served from in Atlantic/Pacific Ballroom
6:00-7:00pm: Hors d’oeuvres in Atlantic/Pacific Ballroom (Food is not allowed in the Exhibit Area)
